Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Agricultural Technologies, Assistant Professor Abdul Kadhim Abd, the College organized a specialized scientific panel discussion entitled “Modern Technologies in Sustainable Agriculture” on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at the University’s Central Hall. The session witnessed distinguished academic attendance from faculty members and researchers, in addition to the participation of a number of specialists in the agricultural sector. The discussion addressed the latest developments in employing modern technologies to enhance agricultural production and achieve environmental sustainability. The session included valuable scientific contributions from: * Prof. Dr. Mahdi Abdul Kadhim Abd * Prof. Dr. Ammar Ahmed Obeid Al-Sultani, Director of the General Company for Agricultural Supplies / Babylon Branch * Prof. Dr. Majeed Kadhim Abbas, Head of the Department of Medicinal Plants and Natural Products Technologies * Prof. Dr. Tahani Jawad Mohammed Ali The discussions focused on the importance of adopting innovation and advanced technologies to address agricultural challenges and improve the efficiency of natural resource utilization, contributing to food security and sustainable development. At the conclusion of the session, participants emphasized the need to strengthen scientific cooperation between academic institutions and research centers, and to intensify efforts in supporting applied research that serves the agricultural sector and advances its development.
