Promoting a Culture of Moderation and Conscious Behavior in the University Environment

As part of awareness activities aimed at strengthening positive values and building a balanced university environment, a brochure distribution activity titled “Moderation Culture is Our Shared Responsibility” was carried out by Assistant Lecturer Maryam Ghassan Ghaffar and Engineer Aya Talib Hassan on Monday, April 20, 2026, with the participation of a number of students from the department. The activity aimed to promote the concept of moderation in behavior and thinking, and to emphasize the importance of balance in daily interactions within the academic environment, contributing to a culture of respect, tolerance, and social awareness. The brochure also included a set of guidelines encouraging positive behavior and reducing manifestations of extremism and impulsiveness. This initiative aligns with the Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 4: Quality Education and Goal 16: Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, by promoting ethical values and building a more aware and stable academic community. The activity received positive engagement from students, who emphasized the importance of such initiatives in reinforcing a culture of moderation and promoting responsible behavior within the academic community.
