The College of Education at Al-Mustaqbal University Organizes a Forum on Psychological Support and Women's Empowerment

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University and the supervision of the Dean of the College of Education, Assistant Professor Dr. Ahmed Radwan Salman, the Department of Educational and Psychological Sciences at the College of Education, Al-Mustaqbal University, organized a cultural forum on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, in the Humanities Building. The forum was held in cooperation with the Babylon Health Department, the Babylon Education Directorate, and the Iraqi National Women's Team in Babylon. The forum, titled "Psychological Support for Iraqi Women: Between Health and Economic Empowerment – ​​Opportunities for Sustainable Development," aimed to highlight the importance of women's mental health and enhance their active role in society and the labor market, in line with the goals of sustainable development. The session was moderated by Professor Dr. Sahira Qahtan Abdul-Jabbar, who emphasized the importance of mental health concepts and their impact on women's behavior and social stability. Assistant Professor Dr. Anwar Khairallah also addressed ways to promote women's mental health in various aspects of life: professional, familial, and social. For her part, Dr. Sadeem Sami Hameed reviewed the most prominent strategies for managing psychological stress and mechanisms for mitigating the challenges and conflicts facing women, while human rights advocate Bardis Hassan Hamza highlighted the importance of economic empowerment and its role in enhancing women's presence in the labor market. The forum was attended by a number of faculty members and those interested in educational and social affairs, and its activities concluded with honoring the participants in recognition of their efforts in making this purposeful cultural event a success.
