Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, the university held a flag-raising ceremony for Imam Hussein (PBUH) on the morning of Saturday, June 28, 2025, in cooperation with the Holy Shrine of Imam Hussein, and in the presence of the university vice presidents, the Director of Administrative Affairs, college deans, academic staff, and Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Khafaji, representative of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate – Babylon Branch.<br /><br />In a statement to the university media, Asst. Prof. Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, Vice President for Scientific Affairs, explained that this ceremony has become a firm annual tradition that embodies the principles of Imam Hussein (PBUH) and strengthens the spirit of loyalty to the values of truth and justice for which he sacrificed.<br /><br />At the conclusion of the ceremony, the attendees prayed to Almighty God to grant everyone success and goodness, asking Him to bless our beloved homeland with peace and security.<br /><br />Almustaqbal University, The First University in Iraq.
