Al-Mustaqbal University holds an awareness seminar on the occasion of the International Day for Combating Extremism<br />Based on the ministerial directives, an awareness seminar entitled (National Strategy for Combating Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism) was held at the College of Physical Education and Sports Sciences under the patronage of the respected President of Future University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and under the supervision of the Dean of the College, Assistant Professor Dr. Sanaa Abdul Amir, and in the presence of the Assistant Dean for Administrative Affairs, Dr. Jabbar Ali Kazim, and the Assistant Dean for Evening Affairs, Dr. Muhannad Nizar Kazar, and a number of professors and students of the college. The seminar was presented by the member of the Subcommittee for Combating Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism in the Babil Governorate Diwan, Director of Media and Government Communications in the Babil Police Command, Brigadier General Adel Al-Anawi, a member of the Subcommittee for Combating Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism in the Babil Governorate Diwan, and the lecturer, Professor Dr. Naaman Hadi Al-Khazraji, a member of the Subcommittee for Combating Violent Extremism Leading to Terrorism in the Babil Governorate Diwan.<br /><br />The seminar began with the recitation of Surat Al-Fatihah for the souls of the martyrs of Iraq from the security forces and the Popular Mobilization Forces, and dealt with awareness and definition and Violent extremism is the term used to describe the beliefs and actions of supporters or users of ideologically motivated violence to further more extreme ideological, religious or political goals.
