In a journey that brought together art, history, and the richness of civilization, the College of Fine Arts at Al-Mustaqbal University organized an educational and recreational trip to Babylon Tourist Resort, with the participation of faculty members and students, to explore the cultural and artistic heritage of the ancient city of Babylon. The trip highlighted some of Babylon’s most iconic historical landmarks, including the Hanging Gardens of Babylon, the magnificent Ishtar Gate, and the Lion of Babylon. These remarkable symbols represent a rich source of artistic inspiration, reflecting the aesthetic and symbolic dimensions of Mesopotamian civilization. The visit also provided students with an opportunity to observe and engage directly with historical and cultural heritage, drawing inspiration from its artistic elements and exploring ways to incorporate Mesopotamian identity into contemporary creative works. This initiative reflects the College’s commitment to connecting academic learning with practical experiences, promoting cultural awareness, and encouraging students to view historical heritage as an enduring source of artistic inspiration and creativity.
