As part of its efforts to develop students’ theatrical skills and enhance their expressive abilities, the College of Fine Arts at Al-Mustaqbal University held a workshop entitled “Using Gestures to Shape Meaning on Stage,” presented by Asst. Lecturer Ammar Nazim. The workshop explored the importance of gestures as a fundamental element of theatrical performance and their role in conveying ideas and emotions and creating meaning through body language. It also addressed the use of physical movements and gestures to portray characters and dramatic situations. Furthermore, the workshop highlighted how gestures strengthen communication between actors and audiences and enrich theatrical scenes, contributing to the development of students’ performance and expressive skills. This workshop is part of the College’s ongoing scientific and artistic activities aimed at nurturing students’ talents and enhancing their practical skills in theatre arts.
