The healthcare sector is witnessing rapid advances in the use of artificial intelligence technologies, which have become a key driver in developing the concept of personalized medicine. This approach focuses on designing healthcare and treatment according to each patient’s individual characteristics, including genetic factors, lifestyle, environment, and medical history. Artificial intelligence contributes to analyzing vast amounts of medical, biological, and genomic data within short periods, helping identify indicators of genetic predisposition to certain diseases and supporting preventive measures and early intervention based on the specific characteristics of each case. Machine learning technologies also enable the analysis of patients’ potential responses to different medications and treatments. This helps physicians select the most appropriate therapeutic options, reduce the likelihood of side effects, and provide more accurate and individualized healthcare. In the field of diagnosis, artificial intelligence algorithms provide advanced capabilities for analyzing medical images and clinical data and supporting physicians in making clinical decisions. By comparing patient data with large volumes of previous medical cases and patterns, these systems can enhance diagnostic accuracy and assist in selecting appropriate treatment approaches. The role of artificial intelligence also extends to medical research, where it contributes to accelerating data analysis, simulating certain stages of clinical trials, and identifying new drug targets and innovative therapeutic approaches. This opens new opportunities for advancing healthcare and medical research. Despite these advanced capabilities, the use of artificial intelligence in personalized medicine requires clear regulatory and ethical frameworks to protect patient privacy and data security, promote transparency and algorithm interpretability, and preserve the central role of physicians in medical decision-making. These developments demonstrate that integrating artificial intelligence with personalized medicine represents more than simply improving traditional medical tools. It marks a significant transformation toward a more accurate and flexible healthcare system that places the patient at the center of the treatment process and provides physicians with advanced tools to support decision-making and improve the quality of healthcare.
