The Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research has announced the launch of the first step of the unified university admission process for the 2026–2027 academic year, starting on Monday, 21 September 2026. This stage includes creating a student account, completing the required information, and having the data reviewed and authenticated in preparation for the opening of the unified university admission channels. The Ministry called on graduates of secondary schools, vocational education, Islamic studies, and other eligible categories who do not have login credentials for the “Qaddim Platform” application to access the application and select “I do not have login information” in order to create an account and complete the required information. After completing their information, students can book an electronic appointment to visit one of the verification and authentication centers at a government university near their place of residence. The purpose of the visit is to verify and authenticate the student’s account and personal information in preparation for applying through the unified university admission channels once they are officially launched. The ministry explained that verification and authentication centers are available at a number of government universities, including the universities of Baghdad, Mustansiriyah, Technology, Basrah, Mosul, Dhi Qar, Misan, Wasit, Al-Muthanna, Kufa, Al-Qadisiyah, Babylon, Karbala, Anbar, Diyala, Tikrit, and Kirkuk.
