Al-Mustaqbal University Prepares to Launch International Postgraduate Programs Aligned with Labor Market Requirements and Enhancing Opportunities for Students and Researchers

Under the chairmanship of Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, a meeting was held to review the final preparations and requirements for the postgraduate programs hosted by the university, in preparation for their launch during the current academic year and to ensure their implementation in accordance with the highest academic and organizational standards. The meeting discussed preparations for a number of academic programs hosted by prestigious international universities, foremost among them the Electronic Systems Engineering and Clinical Anatomy programs hosted by Universiti Sains Malaysia (USM), in addition to the programs of Public International Law, Administrative Law, Business Administration, Nursing, and Dentistry hosted by Mansoura University in the Arab Republic of Egypt. These programs provide high-quality academic and research opportunities for students and researchers by enabling them to benefit from the scientific expertise and advanced curricula of partner universities, engage with international academic experiences, and enhance their research skills and specialized knowledge. They also contribute to developing academic and professional competencies that are more closely aligned with labor market requirements, helping expand opportunities for graduates and researchers in professional competition, scientific collaboration, knowledge exchange, and the production of valuable and impactful research. Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi emphasized the need to complete all requirements necessary for launching the programs within the specified timelines, including issuing administrative orders appointing program coordinators, completing admission and registration procedures, forming examination committees, providing logistical requirements and support, and documenting academic and administrative procedures to ensure smooth operations and high-quality implementation. The University President stressed the importance of establishing an advanced phase of postgraduate programs based on labor market needs and development priorities, while offering specialized programs that add genuine value to the university’s academic and research journey. He affirmed that leveraging the network of international partnerships established by the university with prestigious institutions represents a key pillar for developing postgraduate programs and expanding their horizons. Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi noted that the significance of these partnerships extends beyond hosting academic programs, contributing instead to building a more globally connected educational and research environment, creating broader opportunities for scientific communication and the exchange of knowledge and expertise, and strengthening the presence of students and researchers in the international academic community. This is consistent with Al-Mustaqbal University’s vision of building a competitive and sustainable higher education system. The meeting was attended by the Scientific Assistant, the Academic Supervisor, and the Deans of the Colleges of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, Law and Administrative Sciences, Nursing, and Dentistry, along with a number of department directors, officials, and relevant representatives from the University Presidency. The meeting addressed implementation procedures and coordination mechanisms among the concerned entities to ensure the readiness of the programs and their launch through an integrated institutional framework.Al-Mustaqbal University is the first one university in Iraq.
