Iraqi Ambassador in London Receives Al-Mustaqbal University Delegation and Affirms Support for International Academic Initiatives

His Excellency Dr Salih Husain Ali Al-Tamimi, Ambassador of the Republic of Iraq to the United Kingdom, received a delegation from Al-Mustaqbal University, headed by the University President, Professor Dr Hassan Shakir Majdi, and comprising university staff members and a group of students participating in the University’s summer training programme in the United Kingdom. During the meeting, the delegation highlighted the University’s initiative to send students from various academic disciplines to the United Kingdom, providing them with opportunities for academic and professional training at a number of universities and educational institutions in London. The initiative represents a significant step towards developing students’ scientific and practical skills and broadening their academic perspectives through direct engagement with international educational experiences. The meeting also discussed prospects for strengthening academic cooperation between Iraqi and British universities, promoting the exchange of expertise and knowledge, and creating broader opportunities for students and academic staff to benefit from the advanced academic capabilities and experiences available within British educational institutions. His Excellency Ambassador Al-Tamimi affirmed the Embassy’s commitment to supporting educational and academic initiatives that contribute to developing the capabilities of Iraqi students and strengthening the international presence of Iraqi universities, in line with efforts to advance higher education and scientific research in Iraq. The meeting was attended by Dr Kosay Al-Ahmady, Cultural Attaché, and Dr Wissam Al-Freiji, Head of the Embassy’s Expatriate Affairs Portfolio.
