President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, welcomed Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Khafaji, Head of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate – Babil Branch, in the presence of members of the University Council, to discuss opportunities for strengthening cooperation between the university and the syndicate and supporting academic staff and the development of higher education in the governorate. During the visit, Prof. Dr. Mushtaq Talib Al-Khafaji extended his congratulations to the University President and the University Council on the occasion of Al-Mustaqbal University receiving an **Erasmus+ programme grant**. He praised the university’s scientific and academic achievements and its distinguished presence at both the national and international levels. The meeting focused on a number of mechanisms for cooperation and coordination between the two institutions, including the nomination of representatives of the Iraqi Academics Syndicate across the university’s colleges and academic spaces. Discussions also addressed the announcement of employment opportunities for holders of higher academic degrees through the syndicate, contributing to enhancing professional opportunities and making effective use of specialized academic expertise. Both sides also emphasized the importance of maintaining and developing the partnership between academic and professional institutions in order to support teaching staff, facilitate the exchange of expertise and opportunities, and contribute to advancing the quality of higher education and its role in serving the local community in Babil Governorate.
