he Council of the College of Nursing at Al-Mustaqbal University held its 12th meeting for the 2025–2026 academic year, chaired by Prof. Dr. Qahtan Hadi Hussein, Dean of the College, and attended by the Assistant Dean, Heads of Scientific Departments, and members of the Council.
The meeting addressed a number of academic, scientific, student, and administrative issues, with a focus on reviewing preparations for the upcoming 2026–2027 academic year.
The Council discussed the postgraduate studies program in cooperation with Mansoura University, Egypt, including preparations for welcoming postgraduate students, reviewing the academic curriculum, and discussing the teaching staff and other academic requirements necessary for the successful implementation of the program.
The Council also reviewed the second-round examination schedule for undergraduate students across all academic levels, emphasizing the importance of ensuring a well-organized and smooth examination process.
In the field of academic quality and accreditation, the Council discussed Programmatic Accreditation, particularly the third criterion and the completion of accreditation standards and requirements. It also reviewed the progress of Institutional Accreditation in coordination with the Quality Assurance Unit and the relevant accreditation committees.
The meeting further addressed the preparation of a comprehensive plan for the 2026–2027 academic year, covering scientific and academic activities, training workshops, conferences, seminars, and other initiatives designed to enhance the educational and research environment within the College.
At the conclusion of the meeting, the Council emphasized the importance of continued teamwork and coordination among the scientific departments and administrative units to support the College of Nursing’s academic and research objectives, strengthen its quality and accreditation efforts, and achieve its strategic goals in the coming period.
