With reference to the information circulated on certain social media platforms regarding the suspension of student admissions to Al-Mustaqbal University for the 2026–2027 academic year due to the alleged non-payment of social security contributions, the University wishes to clarify the following: First: The matter raised is solely related to the completion of the settlement process for the 2025 social security contributions. It is in no way connected to any scientific, academic, or administrative issue concerning the University. Al-Mustaqbal University reaffirms its full commitment to complying with all applicable laws and regulations. Any delay that occurred was the result of the final reconciliation and settlement procedures for the year 2025, which are routine administrative procedures undertaken by the relevant governmental authority. The University was not responsible for this delay. Second: Pursuant to the provisions of the Retirement and Social Security Law for Workers No. (18) of 2023, particularly those governing employers' obligations to pay retirement and social security contributions, the University has undertaken all necessary financial, legal, and administrative measures to complete the payment process. Furthermore, all required documents and information have been submitted to the Retirement and Social Security Department in Babylon Governorate to finalize the settlement procedures. Third: The University would like to reassure its dear students and their families that the issue being circulated is nothing more than a routine financial procedure that is currently being finalized. It has absolutely no impact on the University's academic activities, educational quality, or scientific standing. Al-Mustaqbal University remains fully committed to welcoming its students across all scientific and humanities disciplines.
