Among the most remarkable milestones of the 2025–2026 academic year, the College of Administrative Sciences looks back on the academic festival organized by the Department of Business Administration to mark World Creativity and Innovation Day. The event reflected the College’s commitment to fostering a culture of creativity and entrepreneurship while promoting a learning environment that inspires innovation. The festival was held under the patronage of the university president, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, and attended by the director of scientific and academic supervision, Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi; the dean of the College of Administrative Sciences, Prof. Dr. Haider Ali Al-Dulaimi; as well as a distinguished group of faculty members and students. The event was organized under the supervision of the college deanship in coordination with the Science and Technology Parks Department, reaffirming the college's commitment to supporting creative ideas, developing students’ innovation skills, and linking academic knowledge with practical applications. During the opening ceremony, Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi emphasized that creativity and innovation are fundamental pillars in preparing future leaders. He highlighted the importance of fostering an entrepreneurial mindset within academic institutions and embracing high-impact initiatives that contribute to community development and advance the Sustainable Development Goals. The festival also featured a specialized panel discussion entitled “Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Artificial Intelligence,” moderated by Prof. Dr. Dina Mohammed Raouf, Head of the Entrepreneurship Division. The panel included Ms. Huda Qasim Khazal from the Directorate of Industrial Development at the Ministry of Industry and Minerals, Assistant. Prof. Dr. Amjad Hamid Majeed, Head of the Department of Business Administration, and Dr. Ahmed Adnan Al-Muhanna from the Artificial Intelligence Center. The discussion explored the application of artificial intelligence technologies in supporting entrepreneurial ventures and examined the role of managerial innovation in enhancing economic competitiveness. The session provided students with valuable insights into the latest global trends in entrepreneurship, innovation, and the evolving labor market. This festival represented one of the College’s distinguished initiatives that embodied its vision of integrating academic curricula with practical innovation while preparing graduates equipped with the creative and entrepreneurial skills necessary to adapt to digital transformation and contribute to building a sustainable national economy.
