As part of the Academic Bridge Initiative Forum, Al-Mustaqbal University and the University of Baghdad signed a joint scientific and cultural cooperation agreement aimed at expanding academic collaboration, strengthening Iraq's educational and research environment, and keeping pace with the requirements of the Fourth Industrial Revolution and digital transformation. The agreement was signed during the reception of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Hassan Shaker Majdi, by the President of the University of Baghdad, Professor Alaa Abdul Hassan. During the ceremony, both parties emphasized the importance of strengthening academic and scientific cooperation to advance higher education and scientific research across Iraq. The agreement covers several strategic areas, including: Digital Transformation and Artificial Intelligence: Promoting digital transformation within academic institutions and supporting joint research projects and innovations in artificial intelligence and intelligent systems to enhance educational and research infrastructure. Research Collaboration: Developing joint applied research projects, encouraging the publication of scientific research in internationally recognized Scopus-indexed journals, and advancing modern teaching technologies and methodologies. Training and Capacity Building: Exchanging expertise and implementing training programs for academic staff, administrative personnel, and students to enhance their technical competencies and proficiency in modern digital tools. Academic Cooperation: Coordinating academic programs and curricula while promoting both in-person and virtual knowledge exchange initiatives to improve the quality of education. This agreement reflects the shared vision of both universities to strengthen institutional collaboration and achieve sustainable academic excellence. It also demonstrates their commitment to advancing Iraq's higher education sector, fostering innovation and creativity, and contributing to scientific development while building a more prosperous and knowledge-driven future.
