Al-Mustaqbal University Tops Iraqi Private Universities and Colleges in the URAP World Ranking for the Third Consecutive Year

Al-Mustaqbal University has maintained its leading position among private universities and colleges in the Republic of Iraq for the third consecutive year, according to the results of the URAP (University Ranking by Academic Performance) World Ranking 2025–2026, after securing the top position in the 2024 and 2025 editions. The results confirmed the university’s continued progress in strengthening its academic standing both nationally and internationally. Al-Mustaqbal University ranked third among all Iraqi universities, including both public and private institutions, surpassed only by the University of Baghdad and the University of Technology. The university also achieved remarkable progress globally, advancing 294 places compared with last year’s ranking, reflecting significant improvements in the quality of its research output and the growing impact of its scientific contributions. Ranking Methodology The URAP World Ranking is based entirely on verified data provided by Clarivate Analytics and evaluates academic performance through three main indicators: The number of internationally indexed and published research papers. The number of scientific citations received by faculty research. The volume of scientific output and the level of international research collaboration. This repeated achievement reflects Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to international quality standards and its ongoing efforts to enhance its research ecosystem, contributing to the advancement of Iraq’s reputation in the global academic community.
