ALmustaqbal University topped Iraqi governmental and private universities in the Times Higher Education Impact Rankings 2026, ranking (201–300) globally among 1603 universities. The university ranked first in Iraq among 43 participating universities, confirming its leadership and excellence in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals. It ranked first in Iraq in eradicating poverty (SDG1), clean energy (SDG7), climate action (SDG13), and peace, justice, and strong institutions (SDG16), while ranking second in quality education (SDG4). This achievement is a continuation of its excellence, as it has maintained its position as the top Iraqi university for the second consecutive year and the top private university for the fourth consecutive year, reflecting the success of its strategic plans. The ranking is based on evaluating universities' performance in achieving the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, including quality of education, scientific research, and community service.
