Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences Participates in a Specialized Training Course Entitled “The Concept of the H-Index and How to Increase It."

As part of the College of Administrative Sciences’ commitment to developing research and academic capacities and promoting a culture of high-quality scholarly publishing, the dean of the college, Prof. Dr. Haider Ali Al-Dulaimi, participated in the specialized training course entitled “The Concept of the H-Index and How to Increase It,” which was delivered through the Eduba educational platform. The course aimed to introduce researchers to the importance of internationally recognized scientific indicators and the means of enhancing their research impact. The course addressed the concept of the H-Index as one of the most prominent globally used indicators for measuring researchers’ scientific productivity and the impact of their work through the number of citations received by their published studies. It also highlighted the importance of the H-Index in academic rankings and research evaluations of universities and educational institutions. In addition, the course reviewed the key factors that contribute to increasing the H-Index and the most important practices that help raise citation rates for published research. These include publishing in reputable internationally indexed scientific journals, selecting research topics with significant scholarly impact, strengthening research collaboration, and making effective use of scientific databases and international research platforms. The training also emphasized the importance of strategic planning for a researcher’s academic path in a way that enhances scholarly visibility and increases the impact of research output in accordance with internationally recognized standards. This participation reflects the college deanship's commitment to keeping pace with recent developments in scientific research and academic publishing while supporting training initiatives that contribute to developing the skills of faculty members and researchers.
