President of Al-Mustaqbal University Chairs Meeting to Review Summer Program Preparations and Emphasizes Innovation and International Partnerships as Key Drivers of Development

Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, chaired an extensive meeting to review preparations for the implementation of the Summer Program, which aims to make productive use of the summer break through a comprehensive package of training and development activities for faculty members, staff, and students, in addition to launching a variety of programs and initiatives targeting different segments of society in line with the university’s mission of community service and sustainable development. The meeting discussed mechanisms for enhancing the role of the Center for Innovation and Entrepreneurship by supporting promising ideas and initiatives proposed by students and researchers and transforming them into practical projects capable of contributing to economic development and fostering a culture of innovation and entrepreneurship. During the meeting, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi stressed the importance of coordinating efforts and integrating roles among all academic and administrative units to achieve the program’s objectives. He also emphasized the need to maximize the benefits of the university’s international partnerships with leading global universities through the activation of joint cooperation agreements, particularly in the fields of scientific conferences, workshops, collaborative research, international academic accreditation, and academic mobility for faculty members and students. The University President reaffirmed the administration’s commitment to supporting initiatives and programs that enhance the university’s academic and research standing and contribute to building a productive and impactful educational environment at both the local and international levels. He further highlighted the importance of the university playing an active and tangible role in addressing challenges facing various sectors within the province through scientific research, workshops, case studies, and continuous engagement with governmental and private institutions. Such efforts reinforce the university’s role as a center of expertise, knowledge production, and sustainable development. At the conclusion of the meeting, the University President listened to the participants’ suggestions and observations and provided guidance and recommendations aimed at improving implementation mechanisms and ensuring the achievement of the desired outcomes. The meeting was attended by Professor Dr. Abbas Al-Bawi, Assistant President for Scientific Affairs; Professor Dr. Mudhafar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision; and directors of the university’s centers and departments.
