Al-Mustaqbal University announced the establishment of the “Future Council for University Artificial Intelligence” as part of a strategic initiative aimed at strengthening digital and knowledge transformation within the university and enhancing the integration of education, scientific research, and entrepreneurship in line with future demands.
The announcement was made during an official ceremony attended by the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, along with academic and administrative leaders, faculty members, researchers, and specialists in artificial intelligence and digital transformation.
In his speech, the University President emphasized that the establishment of the council represents a major milestone in the university’s journey toward becoming a “smart university.” He noted that the university aims to integrate artificial intelligence technologies into education, administration, scientific research, and academic services in ways that enhance its competitiveness at both local and international levels.
He further explained that the council will work on building a comprehensive AI ecosystem within the university, including the development of intelligent systems for admissions, registration, academic advising, and performance analysis. The initiative will also support adaptive learning, hybrid education, virtual reality technologies, smart simulations, and predictive analytics to improve institutional and academic decision-making.
The ceremony also featured a specialized presentation by Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, who outlined the council’s vision, mission, strategic goals, and the major initiatives planned for the upcoming phase.
Al-Zuhairi explained that the council’s vision is to lead the transformation toward an innovative smart university that contributes to building a sustainable knowledge economy driven by artificial intelligence technologies. He added that the council will focus on several strategic areas, including smart education and learning, AI research and innovation, medical and healthcare AI, entrepreneurship and startups, cybersecurity, AI ethics, and the development of international partnerships and technological alliances.
He also highlighted that the council will support the use of artificial intelligence in achieving sustainable development goals, developing future skills among students, accelerating digital transformation in industry and the economy, and advancing digital media and smart content creation. In addition, the university plans to establish a “Future Observatory” dedicated to monitoring emerging technologies and studying their impact on education and the labor market.
The establishment of the “Future Council for University Artificial Intelligence” aligns with Al-Mustaqbal University’s strategic vision to strengthen its position as a leading academic institution in innovation and digital transformation while preparing a generation capable of leading the economy of the future and developing intelligent solutions to contemporary challenges.
