On Saturday, April 25, 2026, Al-Mustaqbal University, represented by the College of Fine Arts / Department of Design, hosted a distinguished sketching art exhibition featuring the works of first-year students. The exhibition marked a meaningful starting point in their academic journey in art and design. The event was organized under the supervision of Dr. Hamza Alawi, Assistant Lecturer Zainab Ali, and Teaching Assistant Mousa Diaa, who focused on strengthening students’ foundational drawing skills and enhancing their visual expression through observation and composition techniques. The exhibition presented a variety of artworks, including still life studies, anatomical drawings, and freehand sketches, reflecting students’ efforts to explore elements such as line, light, and shadow. The works demonstrated noticeable progress in both technical accuracy and artistic understanding. The exhibition also created an interactive environment where students had the opportunity to present and discuss their work, benefiting from constructive feedback that supports their artistic growth and builds their confidence. This initiative aligns with the Department of Design’s vision to support emerging talents and foster a creative learning environment that encourages innovation, contributing to the development of a new generation capable of engaging with the contemporary art scene. In this context, the exhibition highlights the importance of the first academic stage in establishing a solid artistic foundation for students as they advance in their specialization.
