College of Administrative Sciences Holds a Festival on World Creativity and Innovation Day… An Entrepreneurial Vision Shaping the Future

In an academic event embodying the spirit of modernity and development, the Department of Business Administration at the College of Administrative Sciences organized a special festival on the occasion of World Creativity and Innovation Day. The event was held under the patronage of the University President, Professor Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, with the active attendance of the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Professor Dr. Mudhafar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, and the Dean of the College of Administrative Sciences, Professor Dr. Haider Al-Dulaimi, alongside wide participation from academics and students. This activity, organized under the direct supervision of the college deanship and in coordination with the Department of Science and Technology Parks, reflected the college's firm commitment to developing an educational environment that stimulates innovation and promotes the values of creativity among both students and faculty members. During the ceremony, Dr. Al-Zuhairi delivered a speech in which he affirmed that creativity has become the primary driver of excellence in the contemporary business world, stating: "Innovation in the Department of Business Administration is not merely a subject to be taught but a strategic approach we adopt to prepare future leaders capable of confronting economic and technological challenges with a creative spirit." He also noted that the college places great emphasis on embracing outstanding projects and transforming theoretical ideas into practical solutions that serve society and advance sustainable development. The festival included a specialized panel discussion entitled “Entrepreneurship, Innovation, and Artificial Intelligence,” moderated by Professor Dr. Dina Mohammed Raouf (Head of the Entrepreneurship Unit), with distinguished participation from Mrs. Huda Qasim Khazal: Directorate of Industrial Development – Ministry of Industry and Minerals Associate Professor Dr. Amjad Hamid Majeed: Head of the Department of Business Administration (representing the Department’s academic vision) Dr. Ahmed Adnan Al-Muhanna: Artificial Intelligence Center The session addressed mechanisms for employing artificial intelligence technologies to support entrepreneurial projects, as well as the role of innovative managerial thinking in enhancing economic competitiveness, providing students with a valuable platform to explore the latest trends in the global labor market. This activity comes within the strategic plan of the College of Administrative Sciences / Department of Business Administration to link academic curricula with practical innovation and ensure the graduation of qualified cadres equipped with the creative tools necessary to contribute effectively to building the national economy and keeping pace with comprehensive digital transformation.
