In a vibrant and creative cultural atmosphere, AL-Mustaqbal University celebrated World Heritage Day through a series of artistic and heritage activities that reflected the depth of civilizational identity and the richness of cultural legacy, with active participation from students of the College of Fine Arts and distinguished academic attendance. The activities included fashion heritage exhibitions, where students presented creative artistic works that embodied the diversity of Iraqi heritage, offering contemporary visions in re-employing traditional elements within modern artistic frameworks. This gave the event a dimension that combined authenticity with renewal. The celebration was attended by Professor Dr. Muthaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision at the university, and Professor Dr. Mazen Hadi, Dean of the College of Fine Arts, along with a group of faculty members and students, who praised the high artistic level of the exhibited works and the profound cultural and humanitarian meanings they conveyed. In a special statement to the university media, Professor Dr. Al-Zuhairi emphasized that celebrating World Heritage Day represents an important milestone in strengthening cultural awareness among students and deepening their connection to their civilizational roots, noting that “the university’s mission is not limited to academic education, but extends to preserving national identity and reviving heritage as a fundamental pillar in building sustainable societies.” He added that the university continues to support cultural initiatives that enhance the interaction between past and present, and contribute to preparing a generation capable of drawing inspiration from its heritage and employing it in pathways of creativity and innovation.
