Department of Accounting at Al-Mustaqbal University Organizes a Festival
to Minimize Drug Dealing
Part of the University Strategic Program to achieve the UN Sustainable Development Goals, specifically, SDG 5: Gender Equality, and SDG 3: Good Health & Well-Being, with the Guardianship of Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Accounting Department, in Cooperation with Women Empowerment Unit & Student Activities, has organized a Festival, aiming to minimize drug dealing, and raising the Slogan, which says:
“A Mother is a School, when Educating Her, You shall Empower a Great Nation”
The Festival has included several activities, glorifying the Role of Iraqi Mother in protecting her Family, especially children, developing their skills, and teaching them how they avoid drugs and other Psychotropic Substances.
It is remarkable to note that a lecture has been delivered during the Festival by Prof Dr. Sahira Qahtan Abdul Jabbar Al-Himyari, Head of Women Empowerment Unit, with Prof Dr. Amel Al-Zubaidi, under the Supervision of Dr. Hamid Al-Marzouq. The Lecture has been entitled
“Drugs Dangers on Family & Society”
Besides, a number of Poets have been invited to the Festival, where they have glorified in their poems the Distinguished Role of Mothers in breeding the New Generations and appropriately building Society. The Festival has also hosted a group of children from Al-Sunbula Kindergarten who have submitted a variety of amazing activities.
The Festival has been concluded with the distribution of Shields and Appreciation Letters to all participators, in addition to gifts submitted to the Kindergarten Children, hoping that more similar Festivals shall be organized in the future in order to eliminate all Negative Phenomena that have recently spread in our Local Community.
