Al-Mustaqbal University Hosts National Bodybuilding Championship in Babil

From May 15 to 16, 2026, Al-Mustaqbal University hosted the Iraqi Championship for Specialized Bodybuilding and Fitness Centers. Held at the Babylon Tourist Resort exhibition grounds, the event was organized by the Iraqi National Bodybuilding and Fitness Federation, in cooperation with the local sub-federation, Babil Governorate, and the Directorate of Youth and Sports. The championship featured athletes representing various Iraqi governorates. The activities included prejudging rounds, fitness routines, and the selection of top winners across different weight categories. This annual tournament serves to evaluate specialized sports centers and discover young athletic talent.

Al-Mustaqbal University Takes Third Place at the Conclusion of the Iraqi Universities Photography Festival

On Sunday, April 19, 2026, Al-Mustaqbal University won third place in the Iraqi Universities Photography Festival. The event, held from April 15 to 19, was organized by the Ministry of Higher Education’s Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority. The closing ceremony was attended by Prof. Dr. Salah Hadi Saleh and Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, where winners were honored. Prof. Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi noted that the festival helped students develop their visual documentation skills in line with modern academic trends. The festival ended with the distribution of awards to participants and staff. This annual event aims to strengthen communication between Iraqi universities and highlights the importance of extracurricular activities in improving university rankings

The festival, organized by the Student Activities Department of the Scientific Supervision and Evaluation Authority, is scheduled to run from April 15 to 19. The meeting was held under the auspices of the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, with the supervision of Prof. Dr. Salah Hadi Saleh and Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi. Representatives from various public and private universities across Iraq attended the session to discuss the festival's technical and logistical arrangements. The primary goal of the meeting was to coordinate efforts in supporting youth talent and developing students' technical skills. The event took place on Friday, March 21, 2026, through which the university sought to share the joy of Eid al-Fitr with the children and bring happiness to their hearts. This initiative is part of the university’s strategy to instill a spirit of volunteerism among students and staff, reaffirming its leading role in serving the community and supporting the most vulnerable groups.
