Among the recipients of this prestigious recognition was Prof. Dr. Salwan Obaid Waheed Khafaji, Director of the Al-Mustaqbal Energy Research Center, alongside several other distinguished academics and staff members. Our Free Engineering Consultation Services Include: Electrical Load Calculation and Analysis: Conducting specialized technical studies of current consumption rates and providing practical solutions to optimize energy usage and reduce operational costs. Spearheaded by the Al-Mustaqbal Energy Research Center (MUCE), this initiative goes far beyond routine training—immersing future engineers in real-world simulations and advanced alternative energy design. Al-Mustaqbal University rejects surface-level learning. Instead, it equips students with the exact industry-standard software and design tools requested by top international energy firms. Trainees master climate data analysis, solar irradiance modeling, operational mechanics, and global-grade technical reporting. By mastering cutting-edge simulation software, our students bridge the gap between academia and industry. We aren't just teaching engineering, we are engineering the next generation of market-ready, innovative leaders ready to drive the nation’s energy future from day one!

At Week 2: Al-Mustaqbal Engineering Students Master HVAC & Mechanical Systems at Teaching Hospital

Entering its second week, the intensive summer internship program for College of Engineering Technology students at Al-Mustaqbal University moved to a new practical field station. The halls and facilities of "Al-Mustaqbal University Teaching Hospital" hosted practical training dedicated to comprehensive mechanical systems, under the continuous supervision and follow-up of the "Al-Mustaqbal Energy Research Center," as part of the university's strategy to introduce students to large-scale engineering applications in critical infrastructure. The second week featured an intensive focus on Heating, Ventilation, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) systems of various types and capacities, which serve as the vital backbone of hospitals and medical centers. Students received detailed, on-site instruction regarding modern central systems, including chilled water systems (Chillers), Air Handling Units (AHUs), and Variable Refrigerant Flow (VRF) systems. Additionally, they learned about air pressure control and isolation mechanisms in operating rooms and intensive care units to guarantee a sterile, healthy environment. The training extended beyond air conditioning systems to include broad practical tours explaining other mechanical systems within the teaching hospital. Key areas covered included water pumping and distribution networks, medical waste drainage systems, and central medical gas networks, alongside gaining insight into fire protection, occupational safety systems, and generator operating mechanisms. This field stage reaffirms the depth of Al-Mustaqbal University’s practical vision and its firm policy of utilizing its advanced infrastructure, medical facilities, and educational complexes as real-world laboratories for its students. Through this diverse training spanning renewable energy software in the first week and thermo-mechanical systems in the second the university aims to shape well-rounded engineers capable of fully understanding, designing, managing, and maintaining complex engineering systems immediately upon entering the job market. econd Week: Engineering Technology Students Continue Mechanical Systems Field Application at Al-Mustaqbal University Teaching Hospital

Under the direct supervision and close follow-up of the "Al-Mustaqbal Energy Research Center," students of the College of Engineering Technology at Al-Mustaqbal University continued their advanced field training on the second day of the second week of the intensive summer internship program, located within the corridors and construction site of "Al-Mustaqbal University Teaching Hospital." The training day featured a direct field inspection of the complex mechanical infrastructure and systems. Supervising experts and engineers provided students with detailed explanations regarding air and water distribution networks, cable trays, as well as cooling and firefighting piping suspended across the service hallway ceilings of the hospital. The accompanying image highlights a moment from this field activity, showing students wearing safety helmets on a real job site, attentively following the specialized engineer's explanation on engineering foundation mechanisms, as well as the distribution and support of heavy piping networks to ensure maximum efficiency and safety in medical and critical infrastructure. This step further reinforces the university's strategy of providing a deep engineering experience and utilizing its infrastructure as real-world laboratories to shape well-rounded engineers capable of confidently designing and managing complex engineering systems upon entering the job market.

Week 2: Al-Mustaqbal University Students Inspect Chiller Installations and Ductwork at the Teaching Hospital

Under the direct supervision and close follow-up of the "Al-Mustaqbal Energy Research Center," College of Engineering Technology students at Al-Mustaqbal University continued their advanced field applications on the third day of the second week of their intensive summer internship program, focusing on the Teaching Hospital's Service Building. The third day centered on large-scale central mechanical and thermal systems, where students received detailed, on-site engineering instructions covering: Chiller Installation & Mounting Procedures: The technical process of anchoring central cooling units onto vibration-isolation pads, ensuring proper balancing for optimal performance and noise reduction. Ductwork Design & Routing: The methods for installing and routing air ducts and cooling lines from chillers and Air Handling Units (AHUs) through service tunnels and corridors leading to the main hospital facility. Auxiliary System Integration: Reviewing chilled water pump networks, control valves, and refrigerant distribution piping. These field tours reinforce the university's commitment to providing a real-world learning environment that equips students with comprehensive, hands-on expertise to design and manage complex mechanical systems in critical infrastructure projects.
