Al-Mustaqbal University Signs Memorandum of Understanding with the University of Nottingham to Strengthen Academic and Research Collaboration

In a step that reflects its commitment to expanding international partnerships, Al-Mustaqbal University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham, United Kingdom, during an official visit led by the University President, Professor Hassan Shaker Majdi, accompanied by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Ahmed Al-Dhalimi, and the Cultural Advisor, Professor Qusai Al-Ahmadi. The visit included a series of extensive academic meetings with officials from the University of Nottingham to explore opportunities for enhancing cooperation in academic twinning programs, dual-degree initiatives, and joint research projects, as well as promoting the exchange of expertise among researchers and academic staff from both institutions. This agreement holds particular significance given the distinguished global standing of the University of Nottingham’s School of Pharmacy, which is ranked first in the United Kingdom and eighth worldwide. At the same time, the College of Pharmacy at Al-Mustaqbal University continues to strengthen its academic reputation following its achievement of ACPE accreditation, reflecting its commitment to international standards of pharmaceutical education. The Memorandum of Understanding aims to advance scientific and research collaboration and create new opportunities for undergraduate and postgraduate students in the fields of pharmaceutical sciences and biotechnology, thereby contributing to the enhancement of educational quality and research excellence at both institutions.

Al-Mustaqbal University and Mansoura University Discuss Expanding Horizons of Academic and Research Cooperation

As part of efforts to strengthen Arab academic cooperation, Al-Mustaqbal University welcomed an academic delegation from Mansoura University headed by the university president, Professor Dr. Sherif Youssef Khater, accompanied by the vice president for education and student affairs, Professor Dr. Mohamed Attia El-Beiyoumi, to discuss prospects for enhancing joint cooperation in the fields of higher education and scientific research. A high-level meeting was held in the presence of the president of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker MajdI, and members of the university council, during which both sides emphasized the importance of reinforcing Arab academic partnerships and exchanging scientific and research expertise in ways that contribute to the advancement of academic programs and the educational environment. The meeting also addressed several areas of cooperation, including postgraduate programs, student exchange initiatives, and scientific visits, in addition to strengthening collaboration in scientific research, digital transformation, and innovation. Both parties further reviewed Al-Mustaqbal University’s key achievements and academic vision, while reaffirming their commitment to expanding joint cooperation and establishing a sustainable academic partnership that serves students and researchers in both brotherly countries.

Al-Mustaqbal University Expands Its Plant Nurseries in Support of Sustainability and Environmental Diversity

As part of its efforts to promote environmental sustainability and enhance plant diversity, Al-Mustaqbal University in Babylon continues to develop plant propagation nurseries across the university campus, contributing to the expansion of green spaces and the creation of a sustainable educational environment. The central nurseries, supervised by the Agricultural Division within the Department of Diwan Affairs, have witnessed extensive development and expansion works, including the propagation of rare plants, enhancement of green cover, and diversification of flowers and plants in a way that reflects the university’s environmental and aesthetic identity. These initiatives reflect Al-Mustaqbal University’s commitment to the Sustainable Development Goals and the standards of the UI GreenMetric ranking, in addition to promoting environmental awareness and sustainability culture among students and the university community.

Al-Mustaqbal University Celebrates Its Workers in Appreciation of Their Efforts on International Workers’ Day

Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, Al-Mustaqbal University organized a special celebration on the occasion of International Workers’ Day. The event was attended by the vice presidents, the director of the Diwan Affairs Department, the director of scientific and academic supervision, esteemed deans, and a number of university staff, in an atmosphere marked by appreciation and gratitude for this group, which represents a fundamental pillar in sustaining institutional work. In a speech delivered on behalf of the university presidency, the director of scientific and academic supervision emphasized the vital role that workers play in ensuring the continuity of operations and in maintaining a well-organized and safe university environment, praising their sincerity and dedication in the performance of their duties. The celebration also included honoring a number of workers and awarding them financial incentives, reflecting the university's commitment to promoting a culture of appreciation and recognition of efforts.
