Under the kind patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University held a specialized scientific workshop on Saturday, October 31, 2026, entitled “VIBE Coding Revolution: From Idea to Application through Artificial Intelligence.” The workshop was delivered by Prof. Dr. Mehdi Abadi Manaa, Director of Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications and Head of the Intelligent Medical Systems Department, with the participation of students and other interested attendees. The workshop explored the concept of VIBE Coding as one of the emerging trends in software development that utilizes artificial intelligence tools and technologies. It highlighted how ideas and requirements can be transformed into practical applications and software solutions with the assistance of intelligent models. The workshop also featured an interactive discussion on the role of artificial intelligence in transforming software development practices and application programming. It addressed the opportunities AI provides for accelerating development processes, simplifying the implementation of ideas, and enhancing programmers’ creativity and productivity. In addition, it emphasized the importance of developing the technical skills required to guide AI tools effectively and verify the quality of their programming outputs. The workshop highlighted the importance of keeping pace with rapid developments in AI-powered programming tools and using them with technical awareness rather than relying on automated outputs alone. Such an approach helps ensure the development of effective, secure, and scalable applications while strengthening students’ technical capabilities and opening new opportunities in programming and digital solution development. This workshop is part of the ongoing scientific and practical activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications to promote knowledge of emerging technologies, develop digital skills, and encourage students and technology enthusiasts to explore the practical potential of artificial intelligence in developing innovative projects and solutions. The workshop aligns with the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through enhancing technical knowledge and skills, and SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, by encouraging innovation and the use of modern technologies in developing intelligent applications and solutions.
