Under the kind patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and as part of the preparations for Future Sustainability Week, Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University continues to support student innovation and empower young talent by following up on scientific and technological projects developed by students of the Department of Cybersecurity Sciences and strengthening their participation as Sustainability Ambassadors in harnessing technology to serve society. These efforts stem from the Center’s vision of transforming academic knowledge into practical innovations that address contemporary challenges. The Center’s academic and technical staff provide guidance and monitor the various stages of project development, from generating ideas and identifying needs to designing technological solutions and testing prototypes. This approach aims to improve project outcomes and foster a culture of research, development, and teamwork. Student innovation spans various fields, including the application of digital technologies and intelligent systems to address real-world problems. Particular emphasis is placed on the role of cybersecurity in protecting data and enhancing system reliability, alongside exploring the potential of artificial intelligence to develop more efficient and sustainable solutions. The Center encourages students to integrate sustainability principles into their projects and create innovations that deliver technological value alongside positive environmental and societal impact. The Center plays a pivotal role in nurturing these initiatives by providing scientific and technical mentorship, creating a supportive environment for experimentation and development, and helping students progress from initial concepts to prototypes ready for demonstration and evaluation. This ongoing support also strengthens students’ confidence, develops their critical-thinking and problem-solving skills, and reinforces their responsibility to use technology safely and ethically. As Sustainability Ambassadors, students of the Department of Cybersecurity Sciences play an active role in advancing this vision. Their contribution extends beyond developing technological solutions to raising awareness of responsible technology use, promoting a culture of sustainable innovation, and contributing to a university environment that encourages initiatives capable of creating meaningful value for society. These efforts align with several United Nations Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 4: Quality Education, through the development of practical and research skills; SDG 9: Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure, by supporting innovation and technological solutions; SDG 12: Responsible Consumption and Production, by encouraging the efficient use of resources; and SDG 17: Partnerships for the Goals, through strengthening collaboration among students, academic staff, and technical teams. Through these initiatives, Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications reaffirms its commitment to supporting student creativity, nurturing promising projects, and empowering Al-Mustaqbal University students to develop innovative ideas and solutions that contribute to the success of Future Sustainability Week.
