Under the patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and as part of the University’s commitment to enhancing practical education and developing students’ technical skills, Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a scientific workshop on Sunday, October 4, 2026, for third-year students in the Department of Cybersecurity Sciences. The workshop was delivered by Dr. Faryal Ibrahim Al-Dhafiri. The workshop addressed a range of scientific and practical topics related to recent developments in Artificial Intelligence and Cybersecurity, highlighting the importance of intelligent technologies in data analysis, pattern recognition, digital threat detection, and the early identification of cyberattacks. It also explored the role of artificial intelligence in developing effective and innovative solutions for addressing the growing cybersecurity risks in the digital environment. The workshop further emphasized the importance of equipping students with the knowledge and practical skills required to utilize modern technologies in protecting systems, networks, and data, while keeping pace with the rapid developments taking place in the digital and technological landscape. The workshop witnessed active engagement from the students through scientific discussions, questions, and the exchange of ideas concerning practical applications of artificial intelligence in cybersecurity. This interaction contributed to strengthening their understanding of modern technologies and connecting theoretical knowledge with real-world digital challenges. The workshop is part of the scientific activities organized by Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications, under the direction of Prof. Dr. Mehdi Abadi Manaa, Director of the Center, as part of its ongoing efforts to support academic departments, strengthen the practical learning environment, and introduce students to the latest technologies and emerging trends in artificial intelligence and cybersecurity. SDG 9 – Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure: By promoting technological innovation and the application of artificial intelligence in developing modern cybersecurity solutions. SDG 16 – Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions: By enhancing awareness and skills related to cybersecurity, data protection, and the development of safer and more reliable digital environments. Through these scientific activities, Al-Mustaqbal University reaffirms its commitment to developing students’ scientific and technical capabilities, connecting academic knowledge with modern technological applications, and preparing qualified graduates capable of contributing to digital transformation, innovation, and sustainable development.
