The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, announced that the university has achieved an unprecedented academic and research milestone in the global U.S. News & World Report – Best Global Universities rankings for the 2026-2027 edition. The university clinched 3rd place among all Iraqi universities (both public and private), ranking directly after the University of Sulaimani and the University of Baghdad.
