Al-Mustaqbal University has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) and a research collaboration agreement with the University of Nottingham in the United Kingdom, marking a strategic step toward expanding its global academic partnerships and reinforcing its commitment to excellence in education, scientific research, and innovation. The agreement was concluded during an official visit by the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Professor Hassan Shaker Majdy, accompanied by the Dean of the College of Pharmacy, Professor Ahmed Al-Dhalimi, and the Iraqi Cultural Attaché in the United Kingdom, Professor Qusai Al-Ahmadi, to the University of Nottingham. The visit included a series of productive meetings with senior university officials and the leadership of the School of Pharmacy, during which both sides discussed mechanisms for strengthening their strategic partnership. The discussions focused on developing twinning programs, dual-degree opportunities, and joint research projects that will enhance scientific productivity and facilitate the exchange of academic expertise. This partnership is of exceptional significance given the distinguished international standing of both institutions. The School of Pharmacy at the University of Nottingham is ranked first in the United Kingdom and eighth worldwide, and maintains a strategic partnership with Boots, one of the world’s leading pharmaceutical companies, providing its graduates with outstanding employment opportunities in major international organizations and industries. Meanwhile, the College of Pharmacy at Al-Mustaqbal University continues to achieve remarkable milestones, most notably its attainment of American accreditation for pharmaceutical education, reflecting the quality of its academic programs and their alignment with the highest international standards.
