ALMustaqbal Energy Research Center at Al-Mustaqbal University has successfully engaged in a high-level coordination meeting with the United Nations Institute for Training and Research (UNITAR), aiming to chart a new course for international research cooperation and academic excellence. The meeting featured the participation of Prof. Dr. Salwan Obaid Waheed, Director of the Future Energy Research Center, alongside Dr. Mohammed Maitham Obaid (Director of Scientific Affairs at the Engineering Technical College) and Eng. Ali Zwayn (Director of International Rankings). Representing UNITAR were Dr. Jon-Hans Coetzer and Ms. Catarina Duarte, the Finance and Support Officer. Strategic Focus Areas: The discussions highlighted the Center’s pivotal role in advancing energy solutions through several key initiatives: • Global Accreditation: Facilitating specialized training programs that offer students and researchers internationally recognized certificates issued by UNITAR. • Advanced Research Synergy: Strengthening the link between the Center’s renewable energy research and global engineering standards to enhance graduate outcomes. • Operational Frameworks: Implementing high-level administrative and financial guidelines, as outlined by Ms. Duarte, to ensure the long-term impact of joint projects.
