Projects at Energy Research Center, Al-Mustaqbal As part of the Sustainability Week activities, the Energy Research Center at Al-Mustaqbal University welcomed Dr. Anwar Qasim Saeed, Liaison Officer (Secretary) at UNESCO, representative of the Ministry of Education / Vocational Education Department in Babylon, and a member of the Green and Digital Sectoral Council affiliated with the organization. The visit aimed to strengthen scientific cooperation and exchange expertise in the fields of sustainable energy and vocational education. Dr. Anwar reviewed a number of student-led research and applied projects conducted at the center, focusing on innovative solutions in renewable energy and environmental sustainability. She also toured the laboratories and examined the advanced equipment available at the center, expressing her admiration for the students’ scientific level and the efforts made by the center’s administration in supporting innovation and developing students’ skills in line with global trends toward the green economy and digital transformation. Dr. Anwar emphasized the importance of such initiatives in preparing qualified cadres capable of addressing future challenges, highlighting the need to enhance partnerships between educational institutions and international organizations to achieve sustainable development goals. This visit comes a series of activities organized during Sustainability Week, aiming to raise environmental awareness and promote scientific research in clean energy and sustainable technologies.
