As part of its ongoing efforts to strengthen the practical skills of engineering students, Al-Mustaqbal Energy Research Center continues to deliver hands-on training sessions for students of the Electrical Engineering Department within its specialized laboratories. The latest lecture focused on training students to use PVsyst, one of the most widely recognized software tools for the design and simulation of solar energy systems. The session included a practical explanation of the software installation process, an introduction to its main interface, and step-by-step guidance on designing solar power systems Students were also trained on how to input site-specific data, select system components such as solar panels and inverters, and analyze simulation results to evaluate system performance and efficiency. In addition, the practical session covered how to generate professional technical reports using PVsyst, helping students develop essential skills in preparing engineering studies and project documentation related to solar energy systems. This activity is part of the center’s commitment to equipping students with modern practical skills, bridging the gap between academic knowledge and real-world application, and preparing them for the growing renewable energy sector.
