Al-Mustaqbal Center for Energy Research continues to welcome students from the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies as part of the summer training program, in an interactive academic environment with strong participation from the attending students.
Today’s activities included a distinguished lecture titled “General Introduction to Renewable Energy,” delivered by:

🔹 Dr. Hassan Mowafaq Ghani
The lecture covered the fundamental concepts of renewable energy sources, such as solar energy, wind energy, and hydropower. It also addressed the importance of reducing dependence on fossil fuels and transitioning toward cleaner, more environmentally friendly alternatives.
The speakers highlighted key challenges facing the renewable energy sector in Iraq and globally, stressing the need to support scientific research and innovation in this field. They also discussed the opportunities available for young engineers to contribute to building a sustainable energy future.
These lectures align with the center’s and the university’s mission to create an interactive and comprehensive learning environment that fosters scientific awareness, enhances students’ research, analytical, and critical thinking skills, and prepares them to meet future challenges in the job market.
