Al-Mustaqbal Energy Research Center Continues MATLAB Fundamentals for Engineering Applications Course Lectures

As part of the second semester's courses and workshops, Al-Mustaqbal Energy Research Center at Al-Mustaqbal University continued its MATLAB Fundamentals for Engineering Applications course lectures. Today, the second lecture of the course was held. The lecture was delivered by Professor Ali Nael Hassan, MSc in Renewable Energy Engineering, University of Baghdad. The lecture covered the fundamentals of programming in MATLAB, with a practical demonstration of how to work with programming commands, variables, and build basic code that forms the basis for future engineering applications. The lecture witnessed positive interaction from the participating students in a learning environment aimed at enhancing the practical and applied aspects, contributing to the development of the participants' programming skills and supporting their academic journey. This course is part of a series of courses that Al-Mustaqbal Energy Research Center is keen to organize, striving to develop students' capabilities and provide them with modern technical skills

Launch of the First Lecture of the MATLAB Fundamentals for Engineering Applications Course at Al-Mustaqbal University

Under the supervision of the Dean of the College of Engineering Technologies, Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, and with direct follow-up from the Director of Al-Mustaqbal Energy Research Center, Dr. Salwan Obeid Waheed, the first lecture of the MATLAB Fundamentals for Engineering Applications course was launched today. The course is part of the second semester training program organized by Al-Mustaqbal Energy Research Center at Al-Mustaqbal University. The lecture was delivered by Mr. Ali Nael Hassan, a Master’s researcher in Renewable Energy Engineering from the University of Baghdad. The session included a practical explanation of MATLAB installation procedures, along with a comprehensive introduction to the software and its importance in engineering and scientific applications. The lecture also featured a scientific contribution from Dr. Salwan Obeid Waheed, who highlighted the significance of MATLAB in engineering research and practical applications. He emphasized its role in supporting students and researchers in graduation projects and postgraduate studies, reaffirming the Center’s commitment to organizing such purposeful courses aimed at developing students’ scientific and technical skills. This course is part of a series of training programs conducted by the Center. Upcoming lectures will cover programming basics, matrices and vectors, functions, and plotting and visualization, contributing to enhancing participants’ efficiency and strengthening their practical skills.

Al-Mustaqbal University President Inaugurates Grand Celebration Hall alongside EURAS Academy 2026 Success

The President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, inaugurated the Grand Celebration Hall during an official ceremony celebrating the remarkable success of EURAS Academy 2026 and the advanced rankings achieved by several academic departments in the Iraqi classification. The event was attended by university leadership, faculty members, and staff. The new hall represents a significant addition to the university’s academic and cultural infrastructure, reflecting its vision to provide modern venues for major scientific events and to support ongoing institutional development. In his speech, the University President emphasized that these achievements are the result of strategic planning and teamwork, praising the efforts of academic, administrative, and technical staff. The Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Prof. Dr. Mudhafar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, noted that hosting EURAS Academy 2026 marks a milestone for the university, as its selection among more than 150 EURAS member universities highlights its academic credibility and progress in education quality, scientific research, internationalization, and global partnerships. The ceremony included documentary screenings about the university and EURAS Academy activities, as well as honoring the committees and staff who contributed to these accomplishments, underscoring the university’s growing local and international standing.

A glimpse of the activities of the Energy Forum organized by the Almustaqbal Energy Research Center on the occasion of World Clean Energy Day, affirming the center's role in supporting sustainability and renewable energy.

As a continuation of the Energy Forum activities, the staff of the almustaqbal Center for Energy Research organized a scientific field tour during which students were briefed on implemented projects, research equipment, and practical applications in the field of clean energy. The program at the center included presentations of projects by computer engineering students, which reflected an advanced level of innovation and the use of modern technologies to serve sustainability concepts. Almustaqbal Energy Research Center is holding an energy forum on World Clean Energy Day.

To mark World Clean Energy Day, the Almustaqbal Energy Research Center at Almustaqbal University held a specialized scientific symposium at the College of Engineering Technology, with distinguished academic attendance and active student participation. The symposium began with registration and the playing of the national anthem, followed by the commencement of the scientific session. Professor Dr. Muzaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision at Future University, opened the proceedings, emphasizing the crucial role of universities in supporting scientific research in the field of clean energy and adopting sustainable solutions. He was followed by Dr. Salwan Obaid Waheed, Director of the Energy Research Center, who presented the center's vision for developing applied research and enhancing the integration of academic and technological aspects in the field of renewable energy. The symposium included specialized scientific lectures. Dr. Salwan Obaid Waheed delivered a lecture on the latest modern renewable energy technologies, and Ms. Zahraa Ibrahim, a lecturer from the Department of Electrical Engineering Technologies, presented a scientific presentation on integrating electric vehicles with sustainable buildings. President of Al-Mustaqbal University Inaugurates Science Colleges Building on World Education Day

Professor Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, inaugurated the new Science Colleges building, coinciding with the launch of Future Education Week on World Education Day. This step reflects the university's strategic commitment to developing the educational environment and improving infrastructure, in line with achieving Sustainable Development Goal 4, which focuses on ensuring inclusive and equitable quality education for all. During the inauguration ceremony, attended by the Vice Presidents, Deans, and a large gathering of professors and students, the President commended this achievement, praising the exceptional efforts of the Director of Administrative Affairs and the engineering and technical staff who worked tirelessly to complete the project in record time. He emphasized that the new building will significantly contribute to enhancing quality standards and improving academic performance, ultimately leading to accreditation. It is worth noting that the design and construction of the building were undertaken by the Administrative Affairs Department at the University Presidency, adhering to the latest engineering and architectural specifications. This makes it a distinctive landmark and an architectural addition to the university's other landmarks, embodying the university's vision of providing modern academic spaces that support education and scientific research. For his part, Mr. Abdul-Ridha Shaker Majdi, Director of Administrative Affairs, explained in a statement to the university's media that the building was constructed on an area of ​​approximately 2,000 square meters, comprising eight floors, bringing the total building area to 16,000 square meters. The building includes offices for deans, assistant deans, department heads, and professors, in addition to administrative offices for staff, state-of-the-art classrooms, and scientific laboratories of varying sizes, all equipped with top-of-the-line equipment to meet the demands of modern education. It is also worth mentioning that the building has been occupied by several scientific colleges, including the Colleges of Engineering, Science and Engineering Technologies, and Medicine, thus enhancing the efficient utilization of the university's infrastructure and serving its academic mission. This achievement underscores Future University's commitment to its comprehensive development vision and its tireless pursuit of providing an integrated learning environment that meets global standards and supports excellence and innovation in higher education.
