Al-Mustaqbal AI Center Integrates Smart Sensors in Beginner Project Workshops

As part of its commitment to practical learning, the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University has introduced and implemented several smart electronic sensors in training workshops designed for beginner students. The hands-on sessions featured sensors such as: 🔹 Oxygen & Pulse Sensor – MAX30100 🔹 Ultrasonic Distance Sensor – HC-SR04 🔹 Gas & Smoke Sensor – MQ-2 🔹 Temperature & Humidity Sensor – DHT11 🔹 Rain Detection Sensor Students engaged in both theoretical explanations and real-world applications, developing basic projects using microcontrollers like Arduino and ESP32. These activities helped students enhance their understanding and sparked creativity in embedded system design. The center continues to foster an innovative learning environment that equips students with the tools and knowledge needed to thrive in the world of AI and smart technologies. Virtual Reality Workshop as Part of the Third Al-Mustaqbal International Sustainability Week, in Collaboration with the AI Incubator at Al-Mustaqbal Center for AI Applications

As part of the Third Al-Mustaqbal International Sustainability Week, Al-Mustaqbal Center for AI Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University organized a workshop on Virtual Reality, in collaboration with the AI Incubator. The workshop attracted significant participation, showcasing the latest applications of virtual reality technology across various fields such as education, healthcare, and industry. Al-Mustaqbal University is the top among private universities in Iraq.

Dialogue Session titled "Technology: The Key to Sustainability" Highlights Smart Agriculture at Al-Mustaqbal University

As part of the Third International Week for Sustainability at Al-Mustaqbal University—the largest event dedicated to sustainability in Iraq—a distinguished dialogue session was held under the title: "Technology: The Key to Sustainability." The session was supported by Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of the University, in alignment with the university’s renewed vision to foster a green future through innovation and advanced technologies. The session was chaired by Prof. Dr. Mahdi Abdul-Kadhim, Dean of the College of Agricultural Technologies, who opened with remarks on the importance of hydroponic farming as a modern solution to food security. He highlighted its reliance on remote sensing tools and solar energy to manage agricultural operations with efficiency and sustainability. Session Highlights: First Topic: Technology and Hydroponics Eng. Ammar Abdul-Rasool, CEO of “Qalaat Al-Taraeb” Company, presented a successful real-world project in hydroponic and aquaponic agriculture, explaining how his farm is fully powered by solar energy. The integration of fish farming and plant cultivation allows natural waste recycling, increased productivity, and minimal environmental harm. Second Topic: Plant Tissue Culture Speakers for this session included: Prof. Dr. Majeed Kadhim Abbas – Head of the Medicinal Plants Department Prof. Dr. Tahani Jawad Mohammed Ali – College of Agriculture, Al-Qasim Green University They discussed the significance of plant tissue culture in producing disease-free plants, using synthetic seed technology, and generating secondary metabolites for pharmaceutical and medical applications. The session also highlighted the broad scientific and practical uses of these technologies. The session concluded with the inspiring motto: "We plant today… to harvest a greener, sustainable future tomorrow." Al-Mustaqbal University – Ranked First Among Private Universities in Iraq.

An Intensive Training Program on the Use of Artificial Intelligence in Scientific Research at Al-Mustaqbal University

Under the patronage of the respected President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, The Continuing Education Center, in cooperation with the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications, announces the launch of an intensive training program entitled: "Using Artificial Intelligence Applications in Scientific Research", targeted at university faculty members and postgraduate students. The program includes 16 training hours, starting on Saturday, April 29, 2025, and concluding on Monday, May 1, 2025. It will be delivered by Prof. Dr. Nidhal Khdhair Al-Abbadi, Director of the AI Center, with the support of Eng. Mohammed Saad Abis and Programmer Sarah Saadoon Abbas. Under the patronage of the respected President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, The Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications continues to organize a series of hands-on practical workshops aimed at preparing innovative student projects for the upcoming 2nd Artificial Intelligence Exhibition, to be held during the university’s Third Sustainability Week. One of the latest workshops was led by Eng. Mohammed Saad Abis, who delivered in-depth technical training on developing smart models using artificial intelligence and microcontroller systems.
