As part of the summer training program organized by Al-Mustaqbal University for students of the Colleges of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, and under the esteemed patronage of Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of the University, a specialized workshop was held on Monday, July 7, 2025, under the direct supervision of the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications, in collaboration with the Center for Continuing Education, titled: "Integrated Project: Gas Leak Detection and Alarm Activation," delivered by Eng. Mohammed Saad Abaes, member of the AI Center team. The session focused on designing a smart system using Arduino and gas sensors to detect flammable gas leaks and automatically trigger an audible alarm to ensure safety. The hands-on component included building a working prototype, reading sensor data, programming the alert mechanism, and integrating electronic components in a real-world simulation. The workshop also addressed the relevance of such systems in home and industrial safety, highlighting their role within IoT (Internet of Things) applications and encouraging students to explore practical, tech-based solutions to everyday challenges. As part of the Summer Internship Program for students of the Colleges of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, and under the generous patronage of Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and with the direct supervision of the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications, an advanced training session was held on Monday, June 23, 2025, entitled: “Mobile App Development Using Flutter”, presented by Programmer Sarah Sadoon Abbas, a member of the center’s team. This session came as a continuation of a series of previous sessions focusing on Flutter fundamentals. The current session emphasized more advanced concepts, including: Interactive design using Flutter Widgets. Building a functional To-Do List application. Implementing navigation between screens. Utilizing StatefulWidget for state management and user interaction. A complete hands-on application was also demonstrated, which students can expand as a practical project within their internship, enabling them to connect theoretical knowledge with real-world implementation.
