Prof. Dr. Nidhal K. Al-Abbadi Publishes Scientific Research in a Reputable International Journal on Image Classification Using Artificial Intelligence

Prof. Dr. Nidhal Khdhair Al-Abbadi, Director of the Al-Mustaqbal Center for AI Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University, has co-authored a scientific research paper published in the International Journal of Intelligent Engineering & Systems, a reputable international peer-reviewed journal. The paper, titled: "Texture Classification Using Modified Local Binary Pattern with Singular Value Decomposition and Wavelet Scattering", was co-authored with researcher Ghaith H. Alashour from the University of Kufa. The study presents an innovative hybrid method for texture image classification, combining Modified Local Binary Patterns (LBP), Singular Value Decomposition (SVD), and Wavelet Scattering. This approach significantly enhances classification performance under varying environmental and real-world conditions. The proposed method was tested on six benchmark datasets and demonstrated superior accuracy compared to existing techniques, making a strong contribution to advancements in computer vision and AI-based image analysis. Al-Mustaqbal Center Hosts a Workshop on Microcontroller Programming for Applied Projects

Under the patronage of Al-Mustaqbal University President, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, the Al-Mustaqbal Center for AI Applications organized a training workshop on Sunday, March 23, 2025, titled "Preparing Applied Projects Using Microcontroller Programming." This workshop is part of an ongoing series aimed at enhancing students' and researchers' skills in modern technologies and programming. The workshop was led by Engineer Mohammed Saad Abais, who provided a detailed explanation of how to design and implement applied projects using microcontroller programming. He highlighted practical applications that align with the Sustainable Development Goals, including improving education (Goal 4), promoting industrial innovation (Goal 9), and supporting sustainable infrastructure (Goal 11). Al-Mustaqbal University Leads Iraqi Private Universities and Advances 639 Ranks Globally in URAP 2025

Al-Mustaqbal University (UOMUS) has achieved a remarkable milestone in the University Ranking by Academic Performance (URAP) 2025, advancing to the 1676th position globally, climbing 639 ranks compared to the previous year. The university ranked first among all private universities and colleges in Iraq and secured the fourth position nationally, following the University of Baghdad, University of Technology, and Salahaddin University. This progress reflects the university’s excellence in academic and research performance. In a statement to the university’s media, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shaker Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, highlighted that this advancement demonstrates the university’s efforts in promoting scientific research, encouraging international publications, and supporting faculty members and researchers. He noted that the URAP ranking is one of the important global rankings that focuses on the quality and international impact of research output.
