Fourth Lecture of the Summer Training Program – AI Ethics

As part of the Summer Training Program supervised by the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University, the fourth lecture was held on Monday, June 16, 2025, entitled: "AI Ethics" Delivered by Programmer Sarah Sadoon Abbas, a member of the AI Center’s team. The lecture explored key ethical challenges facing artificial intelligence technologies, including: Algorithmic bias and unfair discrimination Data privacy and confidentiality Transparency and accountability in automated decisions Ethics of autonomous systems and robotics Real-world case studies were discussed with active student participation to examine the societal impact of AI. The session aimed to enhance students’ ethical awareness when designing or applying AI systems and to prepare them to approach technological innovation from a human-centered and responsible perspective. Summer Training Program Launched for Engineering Students at Al-Mustaqbal University s AI Center

Under the generous patronage of the President of Al-Mustaqbal University, Prof. Dr. Hassan Shakir Majdi, and in direct collaboration with the Dean of the College of Engineering and Engineering Technologies, Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, the Summer Training Program officially commenced on Saturday, June 14, 2025, for students of engineering and technological disciplines. The program is supervised and implemented by the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications, and held at the Continuing Education Center – Al-Qāḍiya, with strong and enthusiastic participation from students from the very first day. As part of its ongoing efforts to raise awareness and strengthen preventive measures in digital environments, the Al-Mustaqbal Center for Artificial Intelligence Applications at Al-Mustaqbal University has developed a comprehensive chart outlining the major Information Technology Risks that institutions may face. Prepared by Prof. Dr. Nidhal Khdhair Al-Abbadi, the diagram categorizes risks into key areas: technical, human, natural, operational, and cybersecurity-related threats, including data breaches, misuse, incompetence, and data loss due to natural or human disasters. This visual presentation aims to help institutions systematically understand potential risks and develop effective strategies for mitigation and response, ensuring operational continuity and data security.
