Within the department’s plan and based on the directives of the Dean of the Al-Mustaqbal University College of the University to study and rationalize the consumption of electrical energy for the buildings and facilities of the college and to replace the old cooling devices with environmentally friendly ones. The students of the third stage, under the supervision of the engineer, Zahra Fakhri, began to inventory the cooling devices and calculate the loads for the buildings for the purpose of knowing the amount of the greatest consumption, determining the peak hours, finding solutions and proposals, and providing instructions for the purpose of rationalizing the consumption of electrical energy and reducing the amount of emissions harmful to the environment. Where the head of the department, Dr. Azhar Mohsen Abd, explained that the College of the Future always seeks to implement the goals of sustainable development, as through its application of safety and security standards to secure the work environment and the use of environmentally friendly devices and systems and green buildings, it has ranked first in the UI Green Metric classification and second in the TIMES classification.
