Within the initiatives of the College of the Future to participate in the establishment of a solid industry for renewable and clean energies

Assist. Prof. Dr. Azher M. Abed Head of Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Techniques Engineering Department participated in conversational activities as part of the Mutual Dialogue Project about the industry of renewable energy in Iraq, future challenges and the possibility of finding a solution to the electricity dilemma and rationalizing the electric energy consumption. This activity has been hosted by Mushtarek platform in cooperation with the Iraqi Advisory Office for Development & Economics of Energy. Several issues have been raised and discussed, including - Importance of Renewable & Clean Energy for the World Nowadays - Concept of Energy Transitional Stage - Pros & Cons of Renewable Energy, such as Solar & Wind - Available Technology that can best be used in Iraq - Evolution of Legislations & Laws in Iraq - Role of Government in Accelerating the Growth of Renewable Energy in Iraq - Status & Role of Iraqi Private Sector in Developing Renewable Energy so as to Meet the Needs of the Country - Role of Civil Community Organizations in Educating People about the Importance of Renewable Energy in Generating Electric Power - Financial & Investment Challenges that Confront the Attempts of Developing and Distributing Renewable Energy in Iraq.
