Thirty-seven Iraqi universities and colleges in the Times classification for sustainable development

The results of the British Times classification for sustainable development for the year 2021 showed thirty-seven Iraqi governmental and private universities and colleges in accordance with the United Nations goals of supervision, awareness, and education on the sustainable development goals. * According to the official website of the Times * https://www.timeshighereducation.com/impactrankings#!/page/0/length/25/sort_by/rank/sort_order/asc/cols/undefine This classification, in its current version, showed 1115 universities from 94 countries, while 37 Iraqi governmental and private universities and colleges registered their attendance within this classification, with an increase of sixteen universities compared to the results of 2020. The official website of the classification indicated that Basra University came in the category (301-400) globally and first place locally, followed by Anbar University in second place locally and in the category (401-600) globally, while the University of Future College came in third place locally and in the category (601-800) Globally. It should be noted that the British Times Sustainable Development Ranking evaluates universities by achieving a number of United Nations goals out of 17 goals, including quality education, health, partnerships, industry, innovation, climate action and gender equality.
