Under the guardianship of Prof. Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Dean of Al-Mustaqbal University College with the supervision and guidance of Assist. Prof. Dr. Azher M. Abed, Head of the Air Conditioning & Refrigeration Engineering Department, third year students of the Dept. organized on Saturday 3rd of July 2021 a scientific trip to Al-Warith Factory for Engineering Industries and Al-Ata’ Technical Garage. A group of academics accompanied the students in their trip, and namely Dr. Abdul Karim Abdul Wahab, Ms. Zahra Fakhri, Ms. Hawraa Tayih, and Ms. Asmaa Khudheir.
The trip aimed to get acquainted with the modern equipment and the flow of work in the factory, and thus assisting students to gain some vital practical experiences. Moreover, the trip also aimed to introduce students to the mechanism of work at the factory, its equipment, extent of usefulness, methods of operating, control and work as well as the type of machinery used.
As a matter of fact, the scientific trips that are implemented by students are considered as part of an essential and effective learning approach, which expands the knowledge base of students and intensifies their comprehension to the scientific material.
The academics clarified that the trip is a prerequisite requirement of the scientific study for the purpose of conveying theoretical ideas into practical issues, and leading to achievement of scientific benefits and general knowledge.
At the end of the visit, the academics thanked the personnel in charge of the factory for hosting them and providing such precious opportunity to their students, who in turn expressed their gratitude and appreciation for the Department’s constant efforts to expand their scientific base practically and theoretically.
