In implementation to Al-Mustaqbal University Strategic Programs that aim to opening Horizons of Cooperation with Reputable International Universities, and in harmony with the Policy of the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research, represented by His Excellency Minister Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, which focuses on globalizing Iraqi Universities, as they do introduce their capabilities and actively participate at International Forums, Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, has received a Delegation representing the Chinese University of Nanjing. The Delegation, which has included a number of Officials and Academics, as well as Industry Sector Partners, has aimed to activating the Memorandum of Understanding concluded earlier between the two Universities.
The University President has warmly welcomed the Visiting Delegation, presenting an overview of the University, in which he has focused on the Initiatives it has adopted, and the Prestigious Positions it has obtained at both Local and Worldwide Rankings. Meanwhile, Prof Dr. Majdi has referred to possible areas of cooperation that can be activated between the two Universities.
In turn, the Chinese Delegation has delivered a review of Nanjing University, indicating that their Visit aims to closely examining the Capabilities of Al-Mustaqbal University, its infrastructure, as well as its readiness to activate the Terms of the Agreement.
It should be noted however that earlier this year, a Memorandum of Scientific & Cultural Understanding was signed between Al-Mustaqbal University and Nanjing University of China that has covered many issues, most notably of which are Mutual Scientific Research, Participation in Scientific Conferences and Workshops, Exchange of Visits, Hosting Visiting Professors, and benefiting from successful experiences in the field of Sustainable Development Goals, as well as Promoting Academics Competences, Students Summer Training, Updating Curricula, and the possibility of initiating qualitative pioneering projects, which embody the Concept of a Productive University.
We are obliged to note after all that Nanjing University is considered a Reputable International University that has achieved High Positions in Prestigious International Rankings, such as Shanghai Ranking, Times, and others.
Finally, we should note that the Discussions Headed by Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, the University President, has been attended by the Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, and the Directors of Scientific Affairs and Cultural Relations, with a number of Consultants and Stakeholders at the University.
