In implantation to the Directives of Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, and within the Approach of Openness & Communication with Iraqi, Arab and International Universities that aim to consolidating bonds of cooperation in the Academic, Scientific and Research Fields between Public and Private Universities, a Joint Scientific & Academic Cooperation Agreement has been signed between College of Engineering & Technology at Al-Mustaqbal University and Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering at University of Baghdad.
It is remarkable to note that the Agreement has aimed to enhancing joint cooperation at Scientific and Academic Fields between the two Universities, that would certainly lead to promoting the status of Iraqi Universities among their counterparts, whether in the region or in the whole World.
We should note however that the Agreement has included cooperation in a number of common interest areas so that Goals & Vision of both Universities shall be effectively achieved. It has comprised Exchange of Experiences in the Fields of Teaching and Mutual Scientific Research, as well as organizing Conferences, Seminars and Workshops, in addition to activating Academic Visits at the level of Students and Researchers.
The Agreement has also incorporated Cooperation and Coordination in the field of developing capabilities and skills of Academics and Students, as well as updating Curricula in line with the Rapid Technological Progress witnessed in the World, and thus, meeting Labor Market Requirements as well.
In a Statement released to the University Media, Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, Al-Mustaqbal University President, has emphasized the importance of activating Memorandums of Understanding and Agreements by initiating the implementation of possible items as per priorities, as well as proceeding with permanent follow-up through continuous communication in a way that would achieve the desired benefit for both parties.
It is worth noting that the Agreement has been signed at the Deanship of Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering by Prof Dr. Azher M. Abid, Dean of Engineering College at Al-Mustaqbal University, in the presence of the Dean of College of Science, and Head of Biomedical Engineering Department at Al-Mustaqbal University, in addition to the Deputy Deans for Scientific and Administrative Affairs at Al-Khwarizmi College of Engineering.
Finally, we are obliged to note that the Signing Ceremony has been concluded with Exchange of Shields and Souvenirs, with Prof Dr. Azher, expressing his Thanks & Appreciation to the Dean of Al-Khawarizmi College of Engineering for their hospitality and warm welcome.
