We would like to note that Al-Mustaqbal University Council has convened its Eighth Session for the Academic Year 2023-2024, chaired by Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, the University President, in the presence of the Council Members, and hosting the Director of Scientific & Academic Supervision at the University Presidency.
Prof Dr. Majdi, the University President has started the Session congratulating Attendees and through them to all Academics, Students and Employees due to the Advanced Position achieved by the University in the Iraqi Ranking for the year 2023, coming in Second Place out of 58 Iraqi Universities that have competed in the Ranking. He has also conveyed the Greetings of His Excellency Dr. Naeem Al-Aboudi, Minister of Higher Education & Scientific Research to all University Employees on this occasion while honoring the University President with a Certificate of Excellence.
As reviewing his directives, the University President has pointed out that integrated efforts are highly required by all, including Scientific and Administrative Leaders, Academics, as well as other Employees, in order to preserve the Achievements already accomplished by the University, the most recent of which has been the University obtaining First Place in Research Output on Sustainable Development Goals among 63 Private Universities after publishing 2,300 Research Papers as per the latest Bulletin issued by the Ministry of Higher Education & Scientific Research.
In another aspect of his Speech, Prof Dr. Majdi has emphasized the vitality of reviewing Research Plans, monitoring the progress achieved, and diagnosing obstacles so as to be overcome on time. Besides, all Agreements and Memorandums of Understanding that the University has previously concluded with International and Local Universities are required to be activated.
Regarding the Educational Process, the University President has confirmed that the Prescribed Curricula shall be completed on time, as the Academic Year is approaching its end, and we are required as well to finalize the Semester Exams and getting ready for Final Exams, providing all the supplies needed so as to create a safe and comfortable atmosphere.
Finally, we should note that the Meeting has witnessed serious discussions regarding the issues included on the Meeting Agenda, in addition to the Recommendations that have been taken by the Council.
