Under the Guardianship of Prof Dr. Hasan Shakir Majdi, President of Al-Mustaqbal University, First Festival of World Earth Day, coinciding on 22nd April 2024, has been convened at the Conferences Hall of Al-Mustaqbal University.
Arrangement of this Festival comes as part of the University's Policy to spread Environmental Awareness among Community Members, and thus doing its duty to preserve Earth from Pollutants through Permanent Planting Processes as a vital step to combating Desertification and Climate Change, in addition to encouraging Recycling Programs. World Earth Day shall be implanted in the Minds of all People so that everybody has a role in the preservation of our Earth Environment.
However, the Festival has been crowned with Several Events, including a Speech to the University President, delivered on his behalf by Prof Dr. Mudhaffar Sadiq Al-Zuhairi, Director of Scientific and Academic Supervision, followed by a Video presenting Activities on Sustainability, specifically related to Agricultural Campaigns. After that, Assist Prof Dr. Tariq Jawad Kadhim has submitted a Presentation, in which he has been focusing on issues concerning Scientific Affairs. The Festival has been ended with the opening of Shades and Planting Seedlings, being quite essential in the Achievement of Sustainable Development Goals.
